The Comfort XL lens design bypasses the effected zones of the central cornea allowing centration and a smooth alignment along the periphery of he cornea. An adjustment of the base curve is all that is necessary to complete the fit. Design first trial lens as you would design a single vision GP or call Valley Contax and ask a representative send a loaner Comfort XL diagnostic trial set.
The I Kone lens is a more appropriate choice for corneas steeper than 50D.
