Valley Contax Announces Winner of GSLS Travel Grant Award Winner.

Eugene, OR – Valley Contax, Inc, in partnership with Contamac US, is pleased to announce the travel grant winner to attend GSLS in Las Vegas. Applicants had to submit a short essay about a contact lens patient that was meaningful to them. The award went to Joanna Liu, a fourth-year student at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She submitted a story about a patient who immigrated to the US from a small rural village in Ethiopia and how the contact lenses improved her vision and quality of life.

"As doctors, we know how much contact lenses can change a patient's life, but we often forget that patients change our lives too," says Dr. Adeline Bauer, Professional Relations Director. "This travel grant is a perfect way for students to reflect on their clinical experience so far and see how it's shaping the doctors they will become."
