Valley Contax Announces 2022 GSLS Student Travel Grant Award.
Springfield, OR – Valley Contax, Inc, in partnership with Contamac US, is pleased to announce the winner of their first student travel grant. The grant has been awarded to Ray Chartier, a fourth-year student from the Michigan College of Optometry. Ray was selected from several applicants, all of whom submitted a short essay describing their most memorable experience fitting a scleral lens patient. Ray Chartier will be using his travel grant to join fellow optometry students and GSLS attendees in Las Vegas at this year’s Global Specialty Lens Symposium.
This year’s GSLS Student Travel Grant Award program resulted in such a high quality level of participation that the company has decided to make this a yearly event. “Travel grants like these give students the opportunity to meet and learn directly from leaders in our profession. They get to step outside the classroom and gain different perspectives from all over the industry.” said Adeline Bauer, OD, Professional Relations Director.
