| Tangible™ Hydra-PEG is a hydrophilic coating that is permanently bonded to the
surface of the lens and lasts the life of the lens and has been FDA approved for use on
the Contamac materials Extra and Extreme. The coating is ultra-thin at less than 50
nanometers and thus does not alter lens geometry, mass or Dk/t. It also does not inhibit
oxygen permeability or light transmission. |

The lubricious and highly wettable surface that Tangible™ Hydra-PEG creates is due to
the polyethylene glycol-based polymer’s high water content (90%) that enables it to
resist protein and lipid deposits that create friction between eyelid and contact lens.
